Dr. Crane is a retired Professor Emeritus of Psychology from Mount St. Joseph University. She has a PhD in Psychology, specializing in child and adult development with over 35 years’ experience. Dr. Crane completed a post-doctoral pediatric fellowship at the Kennedy/Krieger Institute for Handicapped Children of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and worked as a research assistant at the National Institute of Mental Health. She taught classes for 26 years in child and adult cognitive and emotional development to education and nursing majors at Grand Valley State University and Mount St. Joseph University, where she achieved the rank of full-professor. Since the conception of CIJS, Dr. Crane join her daughters in the endeavor and has taken on the role of Director of Psychology and Behavior. In addition, she contributes to curriculum development and professional development training at CIJS.
